Prior to joining EFG EV, Mahmoud worked as a Senior Economist in the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation office. Before this, he was a Project Manager at Finance and Banking Consultants International (FinBi). He worked on establishing the Egypt Entrepreneurship Platform (Fekretak Sherketak) and Egypt Ventures while providing technical assistance to startups and formulating strategies for change management, amongst others. Mahmoud has more than eight years of work experience in strategic planning and implementation, finance, economic research, and international economic development. He holds an MBA from Herriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and a BA in economics and international business from the German University in Cairo. Mahmoud passed his level 1 CFA examination and graduated from the Oxford University Fintech program.
